Experience

Lois Crane, M. A., a former school psychologist, has been a mediator and mediation trainer for 19 years.  She was the first director of the Johnson County Small Claims Court Mediation Project, and mediated for that program and the Sixth Judicial District Divorce and Family Mediation Program.

She initiated Small Claims Court Mediation Programs in four southeast Iowa counties, Henry, Des Moines, Jefferson, and Washington; and trained the volunteer mediators who staff those programs.  She has trained school faculties and students in peer mediation; and has taught a one-hour graduate credit course in conflict resolution for Area Education Agencies.
